Welcome to FLYING CLUB 1 in Northern Virginia

We are the center for powered light flying in Northern Virginia, USA. If you are new to light flying, this is the place to see real aircraft and talk to live people. If you're an old hand, this is the place to share your experience and promote safe flying. Either way, this is where you can plug into the local networks you need to make recreational light flying in Northern Virginia a part of your life. Click on the Welcome page to see the kinds of aircraft we fly.

We have regular monthly meetings year-round - at Centreville High School in the winter and at the Warrenton Airpark in the summer.

The Warrenton Airpark is the center of club life. It's pictured above and appears at the center of the chart below as "(Pvt) Warrenton". Click on the chart to open an interactive version of the chart.

Skydiver Operations at the Airpark

The Airpark is host to a very active skydiver operation. Please watch for their PAC 750 jump plane as well as for the skydivers. The skydivers will be descending close to the field. The plane will land before the skydivers. The picture below shows its flight paths below 1,000' AGL (1,400 MSL).
